ASPIRE, DESIRE, BELIEVE AND ACHIEVE
Welcome back 1/2A. We have got a wild ride this half-term as we journey through the Congo Basin Rainforest when we study Africa ready for our class book ‘Journey to Jo’burg.’ Let’s hope those hungry hippos don’t want a snack!
Let’s meet Naledi and Tiro and help them navigate their journey to Johannesburg to help them save their baby sister. Naledi and Tiro teach us strength and determination as they travel very far to find their Mma.
In geography, we will be studying ‘Our Amazing Country’ and distinguishing between hamlets, villages, towns and cities. Let’s look at the countries that make up the United Kingdom and all the lively landmarks we can visit.
In science, Year 1 will be studying our sensational senses and the ability our human body has. Year 2, will be delving into the world of scientific research and studying minibeasts and microhabitats.
Our maths focus this half-term will be multiplication and division, where you will all have the chance to become maths wizards once more.
