Mr Thompson (Y5/6)

Welcome back to school, everyone! I hope you've all had a fantastic summer break, filled with sunshine, adventures and plenty of time to relax and recharge.

As we begin a brand-new school year, I am filled with excitement about the incredible journey Year 5/6T will undertake together this term!

Our class book this term is:

The Goldfish Boy by Lisa Thompson

Matthew hasn't left his bedroom in weeks. From his window, armed with antibacterial wipes and a pair of binoculars, he watches the neighbours in his cul-de-sac go about their daily lives. But when a toddler from across the street goes missing, Matthew realises he might be the last person to have seen her – and that solving the mystery could mean facing his own fears…

This term promises to be a brilliant one, as we discover how great the ancient Greeks really were in History, and explore how our changing world is shaping the future in Geography. Let's dive in with enthusiasm and make this term one to remember!

Remember, to make sure you complete your homework on time, read at least five times every week, arrive in the correct PE kit *remember to remove earrings* and have an attendance of 96% or above to be in our ‘In It To Win It’!
