Welcome back, class 1/2K
Hello everyone!
I hope you have all had a wonderful summer holiday and enjoyed spending time with your family and friends. I am so excited to welcome you back to Class 1/2K and can't wait to hear all about your adventures!
We have lots of exciting learning planned for this term. In English, we will be reading the beautiful and thought-provoking book The Day the War Came. Together, we will explore the story, discuss the characters and their feelings, and think carefully about the important messages it shares. You will then use your imagination and writing skills to create a diary entry from a character's point of view.
In Maths, we will be developing our understanding of place value and building our confidence with addition and subtraction. We will use practical activities and problem-solving challenges to help us become mathematicians.
Our History topic this term is The Great Fire of London. We will travel back in time to discover how the fire started, how it spread, and how London changed as a result of this important event.
In Geography, we will be learning about Our Local Area. We will explore the places around us, learn about maps, and discover what makes our local community special.
I am looking forward to seeing all the fantastic learning, creativity, and hard work you will bring to our classroom this term. Let's make it a brilliant start to the new school year!
See you soon!
