We hope that you have enjoyed the Easter break and have recharged your batteries in preparation for the summer term!
During the final term, our geography focus is all things maps. The children will use atlases and digital mapping to understand our place in the world. In History, children will learn about the evolution of crime and punishment in our country, which is an important part of our history.
So, buckle up and enjoy the ride while learning new skills and understanding our local area and the world around us!
Our class novel is ‘The Titanic Detective Agency’ written by Lindsey Littleson which is based on a fresh and compelling re-telling of the Titanic voyage—with a Scottish twist!
In maths, children will focus on statistics, including interpreting graphs, understanding area and perimeter as well as shape and geometry. They will solve real world problems by applying the skills and knowledge they will develop throughout the term. In science, children will focus on forces and how they act.
As always, it will be a busy but enjoyable final term for the children and I am sure that they will overcome the challenges ahead and thrive in their final step of this academic year.
Remember, to make sure you complete your homework on time, read at least five times every week, arrive in the correct PE kit and have an attendance of 96% or above to be in our ‘In It To Win It’!
