Academy Uniform Expectations:

• Blue cardigan, jumper or our Academy fleece.
• Dark grey or black trousers.
• Knee-length black/grey skirt or pinafore dress. Blue gingham in summer.
• White shirt, blouse or polo shirt.
• Flat, black, plain shoes (no trainers and no logos).
• Ankle boots can be worn at the Academy (boots above this height should not be worn).
• Socks: ankle or knee-length – white, grey or black.
• Tights: black or grey.
• Strapless sandals, footwear without backs and footwear with heels must not be worn at any time. Practical footwear must be worn for playtime, allowing children to run and play.
• No jewellery permitted, other than small stud earrings and a wristwatch.
• No elaborate hair accessories.
• Long hair (past shoulder-length) to be tied back.
• No tattoos or nail varnish.
• Wellington boots can be worn to travel to the Academy in bad weather conditions, then changed to practical footwear once inside.

PE Kit:

• Navy blue/black shorts.
• Grey/navy/black tracksuit bottoms for outdoor use.
• White cotton round neck t-shirt.
• Trainers/Plimsolls.
• Earrings must be removed to take part in PE.

If you are considering having your child's ears pierced, we recommend that you have them done at the beginning of the 6-week holidays. This will give them the 6 weeks healing time required to allow them to be taken out for PE.

Children who frequently forget their PE kit, or who are not wearing the correct Academy uniform will be less likely to be chosen to represent our Academy at sporting activities arranged outside the Academy.

If there is a reason your child is not wearing the correct school uniform or PE kit, please email your child's class teacher to let them know.

Pre-owned Academy Uniform

We have a selection of pre-owned uniform in used, good quality condition available for pupils at Castle Hills Primary Academy. This includes jumpers/cardigans, PE kit, skirts and trousers. We would like to decrease the amount of school uniform wasted each year while simultaneously providing an option for parents. 

Parents/Carers can enquire at reception if they would like to see what is available. We would also welcome donations of uniform which is in good clean condition. Please drop this off at reception.
